I hate Hotwire. I booked a room it has bed bugs and immediately called the hotel that will be leaving. Called hotwire and said to call back and speak to the employee that was working at 2am!!! Called back and no answer at the hotel. Came back home and *** bugs crawl in bag and now have to deal with bed bugs and paid $400 to eliminate bugs! Everyone, please be aware when using Hotewire that you may not get what you want, and they rip you off with prices of certain hotels. In my case, I payed over $80 for a hotel room in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Not the best hotel but for $80, I expected a lot more than what I got. POOR!!! I bought an airline ticket the first week of April. My ticket has been changed 4 times and the flight isn't until the end of July. The customer service is beyond poor. I've been on hold to speak with a supervisor after yet another flight change. I was on hold almost an hour total and never spoke with a supervisor. I reserved a car rental in Las Vegas for 3/2/16-3/8/16. Total price was $111.03. Dollar Car rental lot was empty when I arrived to pick up car. They were “overbooked” and gave me the option to wait for a returned car, cancel the reservation, or rent from the other location a few miles down the road at an increased price. I always book my flights online and never had issues. This time, I booked a flight from FLL to YUL (four tickets) but unfortunately I did not pay attention to the confirmation e-mail. Two weeks later when I did look at the confirmation e-mail, I noticed that the itinerary was actually YUL to FLL and return (they reversed the “To” and “From”). Today was the last time i ever use hotwire and will make sure everyone i know don't use it and will post it on my travelocity account for the world to read it. These people have the worst costumer service i have ever experienced.
Booked a hotel this evening over the telephone through a sales agent from Hotwire.com. Explained to the agent that we were walking and needed a hotel within walking distance from our location. The agent assured me that the hotel we were booking was within a thirteen minute walk from our destination. I provided her with my exact address. RUINED VACATION. This company put me in a "4-star" resort. The room was filthy. No operator or receptionist available. No food available. Hotwire's customer service explanation, "We get our ratings from Expedia." These idiots don't even check the properties before they book you. No need to waste time with a civil action suit. Hotwire misled with advertised "62% hot rate" off a hotel which turned out only 3 dollars more if you book it on actual hotel site. Could not get refund for totally misleading ad. Reps were robotic and unhelpful. Will never use hotwire again and letting everyone i know know about this scam.
