Overcharged with no good explanation

My recent Las Vegas Hotwire booking via ACE rental car is reason enough to not use your service again. i paid Hotwire upfront for ~$55, most of which was billed as "taxes", then when your partnered car company ACE billed for ~47 in fees/taxes.

Your online agent could only say that's not Hotwire's fault or problem. Yet your booking site displayed a $55 total cost, which is the sole reason i selected hotwire over your competitors, and that display was complete *** and clearly never intended to be my cost. I essentially paid ACE the cost of walking up to ACE myself for a car, in addition to the cost you charged me. When I contacted the Hotwire ph agent they told me only the chat agent could address my issue, to which the chat agent said im being unreasonable expecting Hotwire has to make a profit and your fees are different that the car company fees.

My Hotwire invoice says nothing of FEES, just TAXES. If i paid Hotwire tax, why would again pay taxes to ACE?

In fairness i added optional insurance, but that aside the $55 dollar car you committed to cost me twice that after subtracting the insurance charge. Deceptive business, and *** support explanations...and if you review my Hotwire history you'll see you are losing a 5x return customer for cheating me out of ~50 bucks.

I am writing to express my utmost disappointment and disgust with my recent stay at Suburban Extended Stay in Kennesaw, Georgia on 7/5/2023 through Hotwire. I booked a room at your establishment with the expectation of a clean and comfortable environment, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

Upon entering the room assigned to me, it became immediately evident that the cleanliness standards at your hotel were severely lacking. The room was in a deplorable condition, with visible dirt, grime, and stains on the furniture, carpet, and walls. I was appalled to discover multiple roaches scurrying across the floor and walls, indicating a severe infestation issue. As a paying customer, I find it completely unacceptable to be subjected to such unsanitary and repulsive conditions during my stay.

The presence of roaches not only poses a serious health hazard but also creates an extremely uncomfortable and distressing atmosphere. It is evident that proper pest control measures have been neglected, putting the well-being of guests at risk. Furthermore, I must address the issue of false advertising with Hotwire. Hotwire hotel's online reviews and promotional materials depicted a clean and well-maintained establishment.

However, my experience contradicts these claims entirely. It is evident that Hotwire hotels has misled potential guests by misrepresenting the state of its facilities. This breach of trust is deeply disappointing and raises concerns about the integrity of your business. I immediately approached the front desk to voice my concerns and requested to be moved to a different room.

However, I was informed that there were no other available rooms. This response is wholly unacceptable, as it suggests a lack of consideration for the well-being and satisfaction of your guests. I expect a higher level of customer service and prompt resolution when faced with such grave issues. Given the unhygienic and uncomfortable conditions I endured during my stay, I kindly request a full refund for the cost of my reservation at Suburban Extended Stay through Hotwire.

I believe it is only fair and reasonable considering the significant inconvenience and distress caused by the state of the room and the subsequent inability to provide an alternative. I trust that you will address my concerns promptly and take appropriate action to rectify these issues. I sincerely hope that Suburban Extended Stay and Hotwire will demonstrate a commitment to ensuring the cleanliness and quality of your facilities for the benefit of future guests. Failure to do so will leave me with no choice but to escalate this matter further and explore other avenues to obtain the compensation I deserve.

Trip ruined

Ive been planning and looking forward to this trip to New York for a long time. I was really excited for this trip, and booked a hotel stay with Hotwire.

I had a planned and packed schedule. But when I got to the hotel to check in and drop off my belongings, they said that the reservation didnt go through and Hotwires credit card got declined! But I had received a confirmation already, and my payment went through to Hotwire too. I contacted customer service, and it ended up taking many hours to sort out.

They said they would fix it by relocating me, but tried to put me in a hotel in New Jersey?? I was so upset; I had planned this trip out in advance, and this was all ruined by this. They gave me hope that they would be able to resolve it by relocating to a similar location and star rating hotel and I thought that I could maybe salvage this trip, but I ended up just asking for a refund because it was taking so long.

It might just be another customer service case to Hotwire, but its my life and my plans and very upsetting. I was going to use Hotwire again for the next night, but now Im unsure of how reliable it is and if I want to risk my trip getting ruined (again).

Tried to email and they rejected it ? I think l will contact the ACCC WHICH HAS JUST GONE AFTER AIRB&B for the same thing . Fraud deceit and misinformation and misleading.l will never use this company again .on l will be putting it on social media !

I paid for a luxury SUV from April 29th- May 5th confirmation # PHTWS1135DC6

I was schedule to arrived in Toronto international airport on West Jet flight 1233 April 29th

Upon arriving into Toronto April 30th due to the fact that my flight was delayed multiple times

After clearing immigration and picking up my luggage I proceed to the rental company , to find out they were close . I had to find other means of transportation to go to me place of dwelling . The following morning I went to the rental .

Where I was told that the vehicle I paid for for was not available that the only vehicle that I could get was a van which I refused I am seeking a full refund .

There was false advertisement with my booking for a hotel. The booking guaranteed a 4 star hotel (for the given price) and was given a 3 star hotel instead. I mentioned the error (on Hotwires end) and the supervisor didnt take accountability. They refused to accommodate and wouldnt let me talk to anyone else further. She didnt answer any of my questions and was exceedingly unethical.

Preferred solution: A 4 star hotel (the hotel I was guaranteed) with the price I was guaranteed to pay ($121.59). If not Hotwire can’t facilitate this accommodation, I would accept credit to make up for the inconvenience.

User's recommendation: I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use Hotwire. The customer service just want to take your money and doesn’t hold any accountability for their mistakes.

I was over charged

I was charged $132 plus $44 for car insurance rental but when I arrived at Ace car rental I had to pay a $200 deposit plus $86 for car rental and they also tried to charge me again for the car insurance so I just told them to cancel the insurance because I paid for it
